Tom Makes a Decision
A story of "working it out"
- and succeeding
|
|
  "Here's a suprise for you,"
  Tom's mother said. "We are
  going to move."
  "Move?" said Tom. "What do
  you mean, move?"
"Dad has a new job," she
  replied.
"He has to work in another
  town." |
 |
|
|
"You mean we are going to
  leave here?" Tom cried.
  "What about my new job?"
  "You can get another job,
in the new town," his mother
  said. |

Tom sat on the side of his bed.
I don't want to get another job,
  he thought.
I want the job I've got.
I don't want to leave all my
  friends.
I don't want to leave my church.
  I'm happy here.
I don't want to leave the youth
  group.
I don't want to leave here at all.
  I want to stay here.
  He thought and thought. |
